New day.

This was formerly my blog whilst traveling through Europe two summers ago, but now it is going to become more of a documentation of my life/art/sketches.. uh hum.

Wrapping up my last semester of design, just beginning Illustration, so planning on lots of changes in my work... I think it is going to be good.

I suppose it's about time I wrapped this up...

This Monday (10/13) we had the opening reception of the 'Prague Experience' show.  It was held in the CSULB Design Gallery, and all of us got to participate.  Our models, sketches, and other memorabilia were all on display...

Needless to say, cool to see my name (and everyone else's) on the wall in vinyl letters. Also nice to meet up with the group again and reminisce a bit about our delightful adventure abroad... The slideshow brought back all sorts of memories.  I'm so glad I got to participate and get to know so many people from the department.

Khoi, Ed, Kristen... I know we all appreciate the time and effort you put into making this trip happen.  If only every student got this type of opportunity, and got to have instructors like y'all.

Cheers!

photos, photos...

A few more from Rome...

Ciao, Bella!

ROME was incredible.  Everything we saw was overwhelming and beautiful.  We stayed close to the Coliseum, and so the first night we decided to visit it (as well as the Arch of Constantine and the Trevi fountain) all lit up.  Lovely, of course!

Here are a few photos from the first day:

The next day we toured the Coliseum:

Trevi Fountain:

A gladiator takes his lunch break!

Pantheon:

Caesar!

Ruins... ruins.. everywhere

St. Peter's Basilica:

We walked all 550 steps to the top of the dome.  From outside, you could see all of Rome!

The Catacombs:

And on our last day touring, we saw the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel:

I have a project to start working on and we are having a little get-together tonight at Khoi's, so I don't have much time for commentary.  But this is a start...I can't believe I fly back to California on Saturday!
